Print - Print begins to be taught in the Early Years and children continue to consolidate this in Year one ensuring letters are formed correctly are consistent in size and placed correctly .

Once letter formation is secure children will then move onto pre - cursive and learning joining  of letters. This is usually in Year two. This then continues throughout y3-6
