OLSB uses the DES Sacramental booklets developed by the Catholic Education Team and approved by Bishop Timothy.

Each session follows a consistent structure:

• Prayer
• Teacher Notes

The sacramental booklets are delivered to all pupils through six 20-minute sessions within the school day for each sacrament. 

These booklets support a strong and integrated home–school–parish partnership for the benefit of every child.

Today we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

As we prepare to receive Jesus in Holy Communion for the first time, fill our hearts with joy, wonder and love.

Help us to welcome Jesus with faith and trust, knowing that He is always with us and cares for us every day.

May this special sacrament bring us closer to You and help us to follow Jesus in all that we do.

Teach us to be kind to others, to forgive as Jesus forgives, and to share Your love with our families, friends and everyone we meet.

Bless our parents, families, teachers and parish community who help us to grow in faith.

May the happiness of this day remain in our hearts forever, and may we always remember that Jesus is our friend, our guide and our light.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
