If you wish to contact the class teacher during lockdown please use the following email address: year6teacher@olsbprimary.org.uk

Dear all of year 6,

All lessons will be delivered on Microsoft teams each day. Registration begins at 9am and attendance will be recorded. A timetable is available below.

Protocol for online lessons means that after children have said a quick hello to each other during registration they need to mute during the lesson but keep their camera on. They may turn their mic on to reply to a question and use the raise hand function to show the teacher they would like to answer or ask a question. The chat function in the meeting and comments section is for asking questions about the work or sharing work only. All behaviour rules still apply.

There will be some small group guided sessions noted on the timetable, your child will be informed during registration if it is their group session with myself or Miss Weaver.

We have sent out logins to complete maths online with power maths and a music login that will be needed for music lessons. If you need any other login information for purple mash or TT Rockstars please email me at the address below.

Any problems please email me at -

Many thanks for your support,

Miss Murray and Mrs Buxton

Spring Curriculum Newsletter 2021

Autumn Term key information:

Toast Money: Monday

Homework hand in day: Monday (AM)

PE: Wednesday (PM)

Homework Day: Thursday

Book return day: Friday (AM)

Please bring in toast money in a sealed envelope on a Monday. We will then take a register/record a list of who is having toast for the week.

From this week on, homework will be given out on a Thursday and expected to be handed in on a Monday. This will allow 3 days to 'quarantine' work before it is marked and sent home in line with government advice.

Most work will be set online on Purple Mash, but will sometimes be on paper depending on the task. Spellings and reading tasks will be sent home on paper.

Reading books should be read daily and once finished handed in to the reading book box on a Friday morning before staff return them to the class library. Children can select a new book on a Friday afternoon from books already on the shelf.

Children need to arrive in PE kit on the PE day and will not need to bring uniform on that day.

We hope you are keeping safe and well,

Miss Murray, Mrs Buxton and Mrs Finn
