Our subject leader for Science is Mrs Sinead Caroll-Knight. Here at OLSB we are the Collegaite Curriculum Development Group Lead School for Science. We are proud to hold the Primary Science Quality Mark. 

BREAKING NEWS

Year 4 and Mrs Sinead -Carroll Knight have been working with Jules Pottle a children's author and teacher. With extra help from Year 4 Jules Pottle has completed her latest project - Gary Vity - a book written to develop children's understanding of gravity which has given us some amazing and very interesting results. The story has a girl protagonist and the action research found that it helped girls, in particular, to use vocabulary accurately when talking about gravity. The difference in their vocabulary usage was markedly improved after one reading of the book. We can't wait to be a part of this published book !!
